:: Arrival Quarantine Protocol ::
The university is following the quarantine guidelines put forth in the Chicago Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) Emergency Travel Order , which is subject to regular updates. Please pay close attention to the color coding (red, orange, or yellow) that the city designates to your state and note that the city updates the designations weekly.
If you are traveling from a state on the red list or an international location you have the below options :
＊ Quarantine for two weeks prior to coming to Chicago/campus with a method of documenting adherence. You should provide documentation of a negative diagnostic test (antibody tests not acceptable) taken within 72 hours prior to arrival, or arrange for testing within 72 hours after arrival to Chicago/campus. If test results are pending on arrival in Chicago, you must quarantine until you can show documentation of your test result.
＊Quarantine for two weeks after arrival to Chicago/campus.
＊Quarantine for one week prior to coming to Chicago/campus with a method of documenting adherence, followed by a negative diagnostic test (antibody tests not acceptable) taken within 72 hours prior to arrival (or arrange for testing within 72 hours after arrival to Chicago/campus), and quarantine for another week in Chicago/on campus.
If you are quarantining prior to coming to Chicago, proof of a negative test will be required by uploading test results to medproctor.com before checking in to residence halls or arriving on campus. Students living in campus housing who do not provide prior evidence of a negative diagnostic test are required to self-quarantine at the "Hilton at McCormick Place at 123 East Cermak Road, Chicago, Illinois 60616" before checking in to residence halls or arriving on campus. Note: you are strongly advised to quarantine at home and obtain a pre-arrival test result before arriving in Chicago or you may be billed for your stay at the hotel.
If you are traveling from a state on the orange list you have the below options:
＊Quarantine for two weeks after arrival to Chicago/campus.
＊Provide documentation of a pre-arrival negative diagnostic test (antibody tests not acceptable) taken within 72 hours prior to arrival, or arrange for testing within 72 hours after arrival to Chicago/campus. If test results are pending on arrival in Chicago, you must quarantine until you can show documentation of your negative test result.
